The Play Room
The Story Book whose name refers to Catherin Cookson Country is the newest pub in The Boldons and is part of the Spirit Group. It is very family orientated and serves good pub food until 9pm with quite a large menu at reasonable prices. There are also regular themed discos.
The Deputy Manager, Michaela, who has been there since it was opened in 1999 tells me that they have Parent and Toddler Groups for the under fives on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.30am. till noon, where the children do painting, colouring, make cakes and a host of other activities.
